Sustanon 250 is the most commonly used Sustanon product in bodybuilding, manufactured by Organon. Sustanon is a mix of 4 testosterone esters: testosterone propionate 30 mg/ml, testosterone phenylpropionate 60 mg/ml, testosterone isocaproate 60 mg/ml and testosterone decanoate 100 mg/ml. Total 250 mg/ml. All 4 components work in a synergic time-released effect for up to 2 weeks. Sustanon 250 leads to substantial growth in strength and body mass without the need of frequent injecting. It causes less water retention and estrogenic side effects than other individual Testosterone depos. That’s why it’s very popular and highly appreciated by bodybuilders.
Sustanon 250 Dosage
The dosage in bodybuilding and powerlifting ranges from 250 mg every 14 days up to 1000 mg or more per day. Since such high dosages are not recommended and fortunately are also not taken in most cases the rule is 250-1000 mg/week. A dosage of 500 mg/week is completely sufficient for most, and can often be reduced to 250 mg/week by combining with an oral steroid. Sustanon 250 is well tolerated as a basic steroid during treatment which stimulates the regeneration, gives the athlete a sufficient “kick” for intense training units, and next to the already mentioned advantage rapid strength increase and solid muscle gain distinguishes itself also by its compatibility.
Sustanon 250 Side Effects
Sustanon 250 is subject to the effects of the enzyme aromatase in the body. Among the side effects of Sustanon 250 are side effects of estrogen. The rate of aromatization is directly related to the amount of used substance, and together with increasing doses aromatization is higher. Estrogenic side effects include: excessive water retention and bloating, elevated blood pressure (e.g. due to water retention in the body), accelerated fat deposition and gynecomastia. The side effects of estrogen can be reduced or completely avoided by using aromatase inhibitors or SERMs (selective estrogen receptor modulators. Among androgenic side effects are: increased secretion of sebum (oily skin), acne (in terms of increased secretion of sebum), body hair growth, and increased risk of inducing male pattern baldness (MPB) in persons with a genetic predisposition.
Anabolic / androgenic steroids can have deleterious effects on blood cholesterol levels. This includes a tendency to reduce HDL (good) cholesterol and increase LDL (bad) cholesterol.
