Description
Oxydex Sciroxx is the 50mg tablet of the anabolic steroid Oxymetholone, prescribed as an oral medication. Oxydex is a potent anabolic and androgenic drug. Oxydex is one of the class II anabolic steroids, and these act without aromatization into other androgenic hormones (such as caproate in Omnadren, that aromatizes into estrogen and then acts in the body). The basic mechanism of Oxymetholone is to act through the liver; this is how class II steroids work. Mostly, testosterone increases the level of nitrogen in body and this enhances protein synthesis. In contrast to this mechanism, Oxydex boosts the excretion of erythropoietin through urine, and triggers red blood cell production.
Oxydex is usually prescribed for patients with many kinds of anemia, for example acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, mylofibrosis and hypoplastic anemia. Patients with anemia have bone marrow defects that inhibit erythropoisis (red blood cell synthesis), and are treated with this drug to enhance red blood cell synthesis to combat their deficiency. Oxymetholone also helps to stimulate the androgenic hormonal functions, which can give you the benefit of protein synthesis and muscle build up. Oxydex is also prescribed for patients with excessive weight loss, as it helps to gain weight and muscle via water retention in body.
Oxydex (Oxymetholone) Dosage
The principle drawback to Oxydex Sciroxx is that it is a 17alpha alkylated compound. Although this design gives it the ability to withstand oral administration, it can be very stressful to the liver. Oxymetholone is particularly dubious because we require such a high milligram amount per dosage. The difference is great when comparing it to other oral steroids like Dianabol or Winstrol, which have the same chemical alteration. Since they have a slightly higher affinity for the androgen receptor, they are effective in much smaller doses (seen in the 5mg and 2mg tablet strengths). Oxydex has a lower affinity, which may be why we have a 50mg tablet dosage. For comparison, taking three tablets of Oxydex (150mg) is roughly the equivalent of 30 Dianabol tablets or 75 Winstrol tablets(!).
When looking at the medical requirements, the recommended dosage for all ages has been 1 – 5 mg/kg of body weight. This would give a 2201b person a dosage as high as 10 Oxydex tablets (500mg) per day. There should be little wonder why when liver cancer has been linked to steroid use, Oxydex is generally the culprit. Athletes actually never need such a high dosage and will take in the range of only 1-3 tablets per day. Many happily find that one tablet is all they need for exceptional results, and avoid higher amounts. Cautious users will also limit the intake of this compound to no longer than 4-6 weeks and have their liver enzymes checked regularly with a doctor. Kidney functions may also need to be looked after during longer use, as water retention/high blood pressure can take a toll on the body. Before starting a cycle, one should know to give Oxydex the respect it is due. It is a very powerful drug, but not always a friendly one.
Oxydex Sciroxx Side Effects
Some side effects of this drug are swelling, rapid weight gain, changes in skin color, increased or ongoing erection of the penis, urination problems, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and jaundice. In women; acne, changes in your menstrual periods, hoarse or deepened voice, enlarged clitoris or increase or decrease in sex drive, male pattern baldness.
