Deca is an injectable anabolic steroid manufactured by Norma (Hellas) and containing Nandrolone Decanoate, a Testosterone that may be present naturally in the human body. It is probably the most popular steroid compound of the last few decades, being famous for producing large muscle gains and improving the immune system. In medicine Nandrolone Decanoate is used in the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and of a series of aplastic anaemias. Deca Norma has a longer anabolic activity and a lower androgenic effect than other Testosterone. Deca produced by Norma (Hellas) comes in 2 ml ampoule (100 mg/ml).
Deca Norma is great for developing muscle bulk and it is considered by many the best overall steroid for a man to use if we analyze the ratio results/side effects. Deca Norma is easy on the liver and causes the muscle cells to store more nitrogen in order to achieve a positive nitrogen balance. This product is also useful for releasing the pain in joints, as the result of storing more water. Deca Norma increases protein synthesis in muscles, but protein building effect will occur in the body only if sufficient amount of calories and proteins is supplied. Deca Norma is also characterized to have a low rate of negative side effects.
Deca Durabolin Norma (Hellas) Dosage
Deca Norma is suitable, even above average, to develop muscle mass since it promotes the protein synthesis and simultaneously leads to water retention. The optimal dose for this purpose lies between 200 and 600 mg/week. Scientific research has shown that best results can be obtained by the intake of 2 mg/pound body weight. Those who take a dose of less than 200 mg/week will usually feel only a very light anabolic effect which, however, increases with a higher dosage.
The anabolic and consequent buildup effect of Deca Norma, up to a certain degree, depends on the dosage. In the range of approximately 200 to 600 mg/week, the anabolic effect increases almost proportionately to the dosage increase. If more than 600 mg/week are administered, the relationship of the positive to the negative effects shifts in favor of the latter. In addition, at a dosage Deca Norma level above 600 mg/week, the anabolic effect no longer increases proportionately to the dosage increase, so that 1000 mg/week do not guarantee significantly better results than 600 mg/week. Most male athletes experience good results by taking 400 mg/week. Steroid novices usually need only 200 mg/week.
Deca Norma Bodybuilding Side Effects
Though Deca Norma (Hellas) is considered a ‘mild’ anabolic steroid (especially if compared with other similar steroids), there are several side effects users should be aware of.
Since Nandrolone Decanoate has a low aromatization rate, the estrogenic side effects of Deca Norma are less severe than in the case of other anabolic steroids. Even though the estrogenic side effects are not totally eliminated, they are easily manageable. The estrogenic side effects may include water retention, bloating, high blood pressure, and gynecomastia.
Since it is a Progestin, Deca Norma may also increase the Prolactin levels in the body. As a result, side effects such as puffy nipples, bloating, gynecomastia, etc. may appear. However, aromatase inhibitors and anti-estrogens (e.g. Cabergoline, Bromocriptine) can efficiently combat these side effects. The regular use of vitamin B6 can also control the Prolactin levels.
Though Deca Norma (Nandrolone Decanoate) is not a C17-AA anabolic steroid, androgenic side effects may appear: oily skin and acne, facial and bodily hair growth, increased risk of MPB, and increased risk of BHP (i.e. benign prostatic hyperplasia).
Deca Norma may also cause side effects that are very common among the vast majority of anabolic steroids: disruption of the Hypothalamic Pituitary Testicular Axis, cholesterol alterations, and cardiovascular disorders.
One of the most feared side effects of Deca Norma (especially among males) is the one popularly called the Deca Dick. The Deca Dick effect refers to the user’s inability to maintain (and sometimes even obtain) an erection. In addition, users might also have to deal with a severely suppressed libido. The reason is simple: when supplementing with anabolic steroids, the body’s natural testosterone production is suppressed to a larger or smaller extent. In the case of Deca Norma, users deal with total suppression. Even 100mg of Deca Norma are enough to fully suppress the testosterone production. However, there is a simple solution: provide our bodies with the adequate dosage of exogenous testosterone.
