Anavar (Oxandrolone) was first developed in 1964 by Searle Laboratories to combat and treat conditions like rapid weight loss and muscle wasting like many other anabolic steroids. Compared to other anabolic steroids, Anavar is considered to be the safest for use for both males and females and it’s used quite extensively by athletes.
Anavar is one of the milder anabolic steroids, men usually have to take significantly large doses to see appreciable benefits. The recommended dosage for men is 50mg per day. The dosage can also be increased to 80mg per day safely by male athletes. As women are more sensitive to anabolic steroids, the recommended dosage for women is 10mg per day with 20mg of Anavar per day being the maximum limit for women. Anavar can also be used for longer periods of time than other anabolic steroids and both men and women can use Anavar for up to 8 weeks.
Anavar Steroid Bodybuilding
Oxandrolone is widely used by bodybuilders and athletes specialized in weightlifting and powerlifting. This steroid offers important gains in strength without gaining body weight. Oxandrolone is also one of the leading steroids in therapeutic steroidal treatment. It treats the fighting muscle wasting diseases or osteoporosis, and other conditions. This steroid is ideal for bulking purposes and it is commonly used during cutting phases of training. Oxandrolone is often used for cutting cycle or pre-contest period. It helps enhancing great effects on both abdominal and visceral fat elimination, which makes it very useful for those who compete in bodybuilding and stay in a weight class. Oxandrolone is very popular and efficient among female athletes. It is a very beneficial steroid for women and it works the same as it works for men.
Oxandrolone is widely used due to its exceptionally small level of androgenicity accompanied by moderate anabolic effect. Although oxandrolone is a 17-alpha alkylated steroid, its liver toxicity is very small as well. It can be combined with many steroids, like Nandrolone Decaonate, Methandrostenolone and various Testosterone compounds (Cypionate, Enanthate, Propionate).
Anavar Tablets Side Effects
Anavar (Oxandrolone) is a 17alpha alkylated oral steroid, carrying an alteration that is noted for putting stress on the liver. It is importarnt to point out however that to spite this alteration Oxandrolone is generally very well tolerated. While liver enzyme tests will occasionally show elevated values, actual damage due to Anavar is not a statistical problem. Bio-Technology General states that Anavar is not as extensively metabolized by the liver as other 1-7aa orals are; evidenced by the fact that nearly a third of the compound is still intact when excreted in the urine. This may have to do with the understood milder nature of Oxandrolone (compared to other l7aa orals) in terms of hepatotoxicity.
One study comparing the effects of Oxandrolone to other agents including as methyltestosterone, norethandrolone, fluoxymesterone and methandriol. Here it was demonstrated that Anavar causes the lowest sulfobromophthalein (BSP) retention among all the alkylated orals tested. 20 mg of Anavar in fact produced 72% less BSP retention than an equal dosage of fluoxyrnesterone, which is a considerable difference being that they possess the same liver-toxic alteration. With such findings, combined with the fact that athletes rarely report trouble with Anavar, most feel comfortable believing it to be much safer to use during loner cycles than most of other orals with this distinction. Although this may very well be true, the chance of liver damage still cannot be excluded however.
